OCIA, the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults, is a program that will guide you through understanding the beliefs of the Catholic Church so that you can make an informed decision regarding joining the Church.
Classes begin in September 2026 and end at the Easter Vigil on March 28, 2027.
To prepare for OCIA you will need to do the following:
Please provide your contact information by submitting the Contact Form on the right. This will ensure we can contact you when classes begin this fall.
Gather your Baptismal Certificate if you have previously been baptized in any Christian denomination.
If you only need to be Confirmed, please gather proof of Baptism and First Eucharist reception. Those records are kept at the Church where the sacraments occurred.
If you are married, please provide a copy of your marriage certificate.
If you were previously married and are now divorced and/or remarried, you will need to talk to Father Sean Raftis regarding the annulment process. We encourage you to go through OCIA so that you can be prepared to join the Catholic Church after receiving an annulment of your previous marriage. Father will guide you through that process.
Register with the Parish. Registration forms are located in the vestibule of the church and can be found linked on this page.
Please make TWO copies of all of this documentation. One will stay with the parish office and one will be kept in your OCIA folder.
